Introduction & Background:

As a licensed clinical psychologist, I’ve worked and trained in hospitals and community mental health clinics in Los Angeles and New York City. I'm passionate and excited about the work that I do and love to help clients experience new possibilities through their work in therapy.

As a therapist and as a therapy client myself, I’ve seen the transformative power of therapy help people gain freedom from the shackles of the past to live authentically and fully in the present - and with hope about the future.

I describe myself as warm, relatable and down to earth. In therapy with me you'll experience compassion for where you are and where you’ve been, alongside gentle challenges to help get you where you want to go. I believe the therapy relationship is one of the most important parts of the process and I commit to showing up with honesty, empathy and genuineness. My practice is inclusive and accepting of all.

My Approach: I describe my approach to therapy as relational, depth-oriented and integrative. This means that therapy with me will often include: 1) examining your relationship history, recurring interpersonal patterns and processing our relationship as client and therapist; 2) Exploring important experiences throughout your life through the lens of your identity and culture to develop a robust understanding of the relationship between your symptoms and your lived experience; and 3) integrating a diversity of relevant psychotherapy techniques and tools to maximize adaptive (i.e., helpful) coping skills and address maladaptive patterns of behavior and interpersonal relating.
